We are checking things off our 2013 Summer Bucket List left and right, Woohoo! Got a text this morning from our friend Craig inviting us out on the open water with his kiddos, who can say no to that? Jonathan broke his clavicle earlier this week, poor guy. He isn’t ready for swimming yet, but he was the best little orange flagger I ever did see. Holly, of course, hit the river.
I’m soaking in these sweet days of summer.
I dare you to read this post by my friend Shelby and not get a bit choked up about what she had to say. As I look through these photos from our Road Trip around Oregon I can’t help but feel my heart burst with happiness. If I could have one wish for what I hope to contribute to Jonathan and Holly’s lives, it would be to create all the magic I possibly can for them to play in.
Our photos from the natural hot spring at Paulina Lake, Crater Lake National Park, the Oregon Caves, Redwood Nation Park, Blacklock Point, the Oregon Dunes, Newport, and Lincoln City.
Grayson William. Your smile is contagious, your joy, infectious. I am so lucky to know your soft skin, your sweet baby cackle, and to have your Mama as my sister. We just spent some really great days in Arizona together, and I promise to spend many, many more. I will spoil the crap out of you for your entire life, and in return, you will call me your favorite Auntie.
We went to Seattle this past weekend to celebrate 5 January birthdays. We ate a ton, went sailing, checked out the Pacific Science Center, swam in the hotel pool, and cuddled my sweet baby nephew, Grayson.
There were a lot of big emotions on this trip. Families meeting for the first time, seeing the kids around a baby and interacting with him, including them as part of my family. I’d like to write about it more, but it doesn’t feel right. Hopefully our pictures can speak for me instead.
